DUCKS

Ducks! is a Berlin based electronic music act, performing and recording since 2014. They make electronic music influenced by Disney and disco, combining synthesiser and vocal loops with found sounds and field recordings. The brief for the track 'Swerve' was to highlight the isolation of being surrounded by a city, with the willingness to break free from such feelings. The band had a key phrase - 'colour moving through grey' - to describe their vision. A time intensive, yet intense and interesting editing technique to constantly shift backwards whilst moving forwards was used to show our protagonist moving through the winter streetscapes of Berlin, in a type of dance for freedom.
