Riot Games

The Idea & Goals:

Riot Games was preparing for the 2023 EMEA Valorant esports tournament where 25 teams would battle it out for the European trophy at a custom built stadium in Berlin Messe.  Riot needed to capture video and stills content of all teams and individual players to be used throughout the duration of the tournament and the year ahead.

The creative brief spanned across 6 different large scale sets and required content capture for master interviews, photos, GIF animations, epic arena shots and individual hero video content.

How We Made It Happen:

NOFOMO were commisioned as a full service production company for the capturing of all content.  We developed a shooting plan to capture both dynamic, high energy frames,  beautiful artistic portraiture and a range of personality pieces to compliment the enormous gaming arena.

Utilising our talented crew of 15 people we deployed 8 Cinema cameras, including Gimbals & Steadicam, to capture content fast and dynamically.

We helped produced on-brand sets, lighting designs, and tailored the aesthetics of several spaces to bring life to the world of ‘Valorant’.

With a quick turnaround for edits, we tapped into Riot’s internal cloud system to get all footage off-site and backed up as fast as possible.

The Impact:

~200,000 viewers per broadcast
